Phil Smith, founder of KINSMITH Consulting
The person building your system

I'm Phil. I build the thing myself.

No account manager, no offshore dev team, no handoff to someone you never met. When you hire KINSMITH, the guy in this photo is the one who maps your business, builds the system, and trains you on it. That's the whole company. That's on purpose.

The 10-second version
  • What I do: build custom AI systems that run your quoting, follow-up, and paperwork — so the business stops living in your head.
  • Why I'm different: you own it. I build around how you already work, not a platform you rent forever. And I build it myself — no dev team, no handoff.
  • The catch: I only take the job if a 20-minute fit check says it'll actually pay off. I turn down about a third.

Still curious? Here's the longer story ↓

A shop-floor guy who speaks fluent machine.

I'm a U.S. Navy veteran and a manufacturing engineer. For the last eight years my day job has been building the systems that tell a factory how to build things — the routings and parts lists behind massive industrial heat exchangers, the kind of equipment that weighs more than your house. Strip the jargon off that work and it's simple to describe: I take something complicated and messy and turn it into a repeatable system that doesn't fall apart the day the person who understands it walks out the door.

Sound familiar? It's the same problem you've got. Yours just lives in a truck instead of a plant.

Here's the thing most people get wrong about AI right now. It's not a coding problem — it's a translation problem. The tools are powerful and genuinely useful. But they're buried under hype and jargon that keeps normal business owners locked out. Since 2023 I've been heads-down on one question: how do you make this stuff actually useful for someone who doesn't have time for buzzwords? Taking the complicated and making it plain — that's the thing I'm best at. Always has been.

So why this? Why me? I looked around my own backyard — Palmetto, Bradenton, Parrish, Ellenton, Sarasota — and saw good businesses getting left behind. The technology to fix their biggest headaches already exists. It's here, right now. But the companies selling it don't build for a two-truck operation in Manatee County. They build for the enterprise, hand you a login, and wish you luck. Nobody local was translating this for the people who needed it most — with a real partner who tailors the solution to your business instead of someone else's idea of what your business should be. So I decided to be that person.

What I actually bring to the table.

But credentials aren't why you should hire me, and I'd be the first to say it. You should hire me because I've already built the kind of systems I'm talking about — not slideware, working tools:

  • A remote AI operations setup I run from my phone over Telegram — quoting, drafting, and logging without sitting at a desk. It's the same backbone behind Your Phone Is The Office.
  • 30+ custom AI assistants built for specific, narrow jobs — proof that the value is in tailoring the tool to the work, not buying one off a shelf.
  • A live AI content engine for a real estate business that drafts and publishes on a schedule.
  • Multi-agent decision systems — including a family-run advisory tool that scores options, weighs tradeoffs, and shows its reasoning instead of just spitting out an answer.

That last part matters. I build systems that show their work and keep you in control — not black boxes that make decisions for you. You stay the boss. The system just stops making you the bottleneck.

Why I only work with a handful of you.

I'm based in Parrish and I build for owner-operators across Manatee and Sarasota County — Bradenton, Palmetto, Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch. This is my backyard, and reputation in a town this size is everything. That's exactly why I turn down about a third of the businesses that reach out. If a 20-minute fit check tells me the math doesn't work for you, I'll say so. I'd rather lose a project than sell someone a system they don't need.

When I do take the job, the deal is simple: I don't leave until it works. No refunds — instead, I keep tuning and fixing until the system is doing what I promised. That's not a marketing line. It's the only way I'd want to do business in my own community.
